With a combined effort of 41 years of experience, Grand Companion has been acquiring and breeding extraordinary llamas! Our talent of pairing exquisite sires and dams to achieve champion cria with exotic suri fiber comes from our knowledge and expertise in breeding "Suri" Llamas and "Suri" Alpacas since 1989 and traditional and silky fibered llamas since 1981.

The option to study and actually purchase Suri Llama and Alpaca breeding stock throughout South America over a ten year period has given us the knowledge and insight to move forward in the industry. You will be amazed with our production and the total "llama phenotype" on our suri llamas.

Our desire for perfection has inspired us reach back into the industry and find many of the "Unused" pedigrees that will bring total out-cross, correctness, stature and fiber to our production. Show Competition success for ourselves and our clients has been Nationally recognized with such prestigious awards as Best in Show, Get-Of-Sire, and many multiple top 10 placings at all of the Oklahoma City World Championship and Futurity shows annually. Our breeding program has also achieved many champions at ALSA shows state wide and across the country as well as many Regional ALSA Champions, Get of Sire and Produce Of Dam from the local show circuit to winning the top two Grand National, Grand Championship Suri Llamas in 2004 and Grand and Reserve Suri Llama Females in 2005 for ourselves and our clients.

We have benefited from other successful breeding programs across the country through hand selecting choice breeding stock, added to those we raised, which has resulted in creating the backbone of our noteworthy breeding program. In turn, many breeders across the Untied States and Canada have benefited their own programs by adding notable Grand Companion breeding stock purchased here in addition to breeding to our premier Herd Sires.
